🛠 Running the Site

Running the site covers the Studio screens that shape the whole of Swift Axis rather than a single story: its settings, reader accounts, pages, backups and access for AI agents. This page will guide you through what each owner screen is for and where to find its guide.

Owner-only

This section is for the site owner. These screens change the whole site, and some of them, such as "Pages", "Export / Import" and "API & MCP", are only available to owners. Writers do not need them.

The owner screens

• "Settings": the site's title and description, social links, rebuild timing, analytics and demo content.
• "Readers": the readers who signed in on the public site to keep their place.
• "Pages" and "Navigation": standalone pages such as About, and the extra links in the site header.
• "Export / Import": download a copy of every story, or bring stories in from an export.
• "API & MCP": API tokens for AI agents and other tools, and the log of what they changed.

Best Practices

• Export before big changes: an export is your offline copy of the writing.
• Review tokens monthly: revoke any a tool no longer needs.
• Check the privacy policy after changing analytics or reader accounts, so it still describes what the site does.
